CalendulaPosted by Soph (Enghien, Belgium) on 24 August 2007 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. For the yesterday's photo, it was the sun behind the fog; I just desaturated it and changed little things in the exposition... Congratulation to Stan Pulsar from France who found it first ;-) In French, we call that flower "soucis", it's the same traduction than for "trouble" or "problems". Some month ago, I learned that the other name was "Calendula". I have a lot of creams with calendula in my bathroom, it's good for the dry skin. This is the 1st photo of flower I was a bit proud of. I guess that a good angle to shoot a flower is not just above it, but I liked the forms and the texture of the rock just under the flower. I like the contrast between the orange of the flower and the blue-grey of the small stones. I hope you'll like it too....
