The lover

Thank you for your participation of yesterday! It was so nice! Some of you asked for "news" about that day... ;-) We woke up late, made little breads with chocolate to eat them, and we went to Ikea to see for a kitchen, then we went to Brussels and bought gifts to eachother. We chosen books to create our future garden, I took one of a Belgian writter ("Autopsy" of Sophie Buyse, autobiographic novels) and a pillow with cherry-stones to put in the microwave and heat the neck to relax it. Magical pillow, my neck was all tended and I had headache because of it.. and now I feel so light!!

Then, I bought some gloss-lipstick that was sold by "The Body Shop" against the domestic violence on women, children and old people. Some poeple of your neighborhood may be a victim of that kind of violence, sometime even without knowing it, not only physical violences but humiliation, threats, intimidation, psychological harassing or even the fact to be unaware (I think also about the old poeple or the handicape people sometimes let sit on the ground or all the day in their room with just a plate with some food at noon, and no conversation, no sight, no help...) Well, I'm very sensitive at that.

Today, the photo is the last Thursday locust's lover... After those shots I made, they went to jump between the grasses, they almost were hand in hand... ;-) Maybe I made their wedding photo! Hum. Who knows what happens in the bugs' brain?!

Tomorrow, we stop with that loving atmosphere, I'll show you a monster!

this is really a beautiful macro,soph.I am happy you seemed to have had such a great day!Making your own garden sounds really exciting to me soph,land in singapore is so scarce and land so expensive,only the rich people live in land property with their own garden.The rest of us live in flats.

Here in Belgium, to build his own house can be expensive near brussels or near the strategic points like big towns but usually, even if it became 10X more expensive than 20 years ago, it's still possible. To give you an idea, we bought the ground and build the house, all made by workmen (except the garden of course!) for 200 000 euros, so something like 270 000 USDollars. I don't know what it becomes in your currencies. We have been lucky to find that ground so "cheap" because we are near the "Shape" (the American army based in Belgium), some years later and that ground would have been 3X more expensive! There are places in Belgium where the ground is more expensive than the price of our house! It's becoming madness!

Thank you also for your sharing about domestic violence & abuse, Soph. It really is a great shame there is so little awareness/so little done to help the many victims out there. It is something I feel strongly about too, and wish more could be done.
